If you already know the basics, try the "Quick Tips for Better Recordings" video - learn how to quickly improve your recordings for video or podcast. The Videos and Quickstart Guide on this resource should help to get you started, but if you require further support, you can access the Audacity Tutorial Hub, or Community Forum in the Links section below. Audacity can record and play sounds and import and export WAV, AIFF, MP3, and OGG files. If you are using your own personal computer, you can install Audacity directly from the manufacturer's website free of charge: Audacity is an open source, cross-platform audio editor and recorder. In that case, you may need to uninstall FFmpeg again and make a shared build of a supported version from source. If your distribution ships with a different version, it may not get detected, or may not work correctly. (Mac users should contact the IT Service Desk.) Caution: Audacity supports FFmpegs libavformat in version 55 (all Audacity versions), 57 and 58 (Audacity 3.1+) and 59 (Audacity 3.2+). Click 'Install' to install on your PC or laptop.
